Our team was out at the Long Beach Grand Prix and was able to get some stunning photos from the pit road and all over the various events that were held on the sunny race weekend. In the gallery slideshow below you can see some of the fantastic ALMS race where we were able to see the SRT Viper team and Corvette Racing Team go head to head and then ultimately get lose to the two BMW Z4 cars from Team RLL Racing. The larger Corvettes struggled a bit on the street coarse as the lighter and more agile BMW and Viper team made their way to the front but the two Vette’s stayed together and had a consistent run up to finish in the 4th and 5th positions.
The #91 Viper car piloted by Marc Goossens and Dominik Farnbacher led the GT class for the majority of the race before giving way tot he first BMW with 30 minutes left in the race due to driver error and then fell prey to the second Frozen Black Z4 driven by Auberlen in the last minutes of the race. The #93 Viper driven by Jonathan Bomarito and Kuno Wittmer was up near the front of the pack early but had several brushes with the competition including a penalized hit from the Falken Porsche 911.
